SACRAL:
Queer Divinity in the Modern Age
April 15 & 16, 2023
at Task Gallery
Queer people have long been nurturers of spirituality, enlightenment, and political transformation. Historically and currently, traditional religious institutions radicalize legislation that aims to put a stop to queer voices. LGBTQ+ people have been “excommunicated” from organized religion but many choose to harbor a spiritually fulfilled life on their terms.
"SACRAL: Queer Divinity in the Modern Age" explores this new, and sometimes unconventional, spirituality that exists in gay bars, nature, sex, and even in an art gallery.
